CSM NV plans to divest its North American
and European Bakery Supplies
businesses and transform into a biobased
ingredients company with focus
on its Purac and Caravan Ingredients
businesses.
Hostess Brands, Inc. issued several
notices under the Federal Worker Adjustment
and Retraining Notification Act
alerting all 18,000 of its employees across
the United States that it may have to shut
down and liquidate its business in as soon
as 60 days if certain conditions transpire.
Pan-O-Gold Baking Co., St. Cloud, Minn.,
and Schmidt Baking Co., Baltimore, have
been approved as buyers of brands to be
divested by Grupo Bimbo SAB de CV, as
part of an agreement with the Department
of Justice.
Horizon Milling, a joint venture
between Cargill and CHS, will invest
in its Saginaw flour milling facility, the
largest flour mill in Texas, to enhance
milling efficiencies and capabilities.
The Imperial Sugar Co. and Louis Dreyfus
Commodities LLC, Wilton, Conn., have
signed a definitive agreement under which
a subsidiary of Louis Dreyfus will acquire
Imperial through a cash tender offer and
second step merger at $6.35 per share.
Nestle plans to acquire Pfizer Nutrition
for $11.85 billion with the goal of growing
its infant nutrition business.
The E.I. du Pont de Nemours and Company
has acquired full ownership of
Solae LLC from Bunge Ltd., White Plains,
NY, for approximately $448 million.
